Ujjayi: With this yoga breathing, the tongue is placed at the back of the throat, the glottis is closed and emits a small croak when breathing in and when breathing out. Breathing remains through the nose.
SAFETY RECOMMENDATIONS AND TECHNIQUE
Start position: place yourself on plank with hands and feet (hands shoulder-width apart and under shoulders- feet pelvis-width apart).
Execution: use your core to stabilise your back. Gradually tilt your pelvis to correct an over-emphasised arch. Open out the chest and stretch the neck.
LEVELS OF DIFFICULTY
The difficulty here can be varied by choosing to place the knees on the ground.
